Not all Office 365 subscription plans come with the fully installed Office applications. But where are millions of users going for easy trouble shooting within the Microsoft Office 365 suite? Troubleshooting library sites and FAQ's online can get overwhelming to search through, let alone to find technical solutions that are written in laymen's terms. We are about to break down 5 of the most common issues and how to resolve them in the comfort of your own office (or home).

I recently switched Office 365 plans and now get messages I can't use Office

It runs multiple tests in terms of configuring and solving any potential problem. When it can’t do that, the program will advise you on how to deal with it, providing links containing instructions. The simplest one is a problem with a connection to the Internet, or a firewall blocking network connections. Important thing to remember is that you will be able to change your password by yourself if the administrator in your organization allows users to change their passwords. If not, the password reset page provides you with a possibility to contact your administrator.

Help with Office product keys

If you are using Office for work or school, you will likelyl have to use your work or school email account to sign in. If you are having trouble logging in, first check the number lock and caps lock keys on your keyboard. If you are 100% certain you are entering the login information correctly and you still can not log in, there are ways to regain access to your account by resetting your password. Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support. You can also choose to have users sign into the Office 365 portal with their work or school account and follow the steps in Install Office on your PC or Mac to install Office themselves.

Install Office through Microsoft HUP

• If you encountered a problem while installing Office on a PC, try restarting your computer and then attempting to install Office again.
• If your computer can't install the full desktop version of Office because it doesn't meet the system requirements, you can try using Office Online in your computer's browser.
• Admins should also see the Office for business tab for more general Office installation issues.
• If you use Microsoft Office 365 Outlook as a standalone email client, and you cannot send and receive email messages, check the Outlook connection settings.

If you have a disorganized folder or keep too many files, it’s easy to make the mistake of deleting the wrong file and sending it to the recycle bin. Fortunately, documents that were sent to the recycle bin aren’t immediately and permanently removed. If the provided recommendations don’t help you resolve the issues or you want to send Office 365 complaints, call Microsoft support. Try testing the configuration of your Office 365 email system and fix the problems that are preventing users from using the email services.

Always define a recovery email address when configuring your Office 365 account. If an incorrect password is entered multiple times, after several unsuccessful login attempts, your Office 365 account will be locked. If your account is locked but you have not defined your recovery email address, try to fill Microsoft 365 troubleshooting out the Microsoft account recovery form. If using a mobile device such as a cell phone or tablet, close out of the application completely. This will refresh the library and if the file is on OneDrive it should now appear. On a PC, simply exit out of all open programs and restart the entire machine.

You're a student or teacher and don't see an option to install Office

For example, you can't install Office on computers running Windows Vista or Windows XP, or on devices that aren't running a supported Windows or Mac operating system. However, you may still be able to use Office Online in your computer's browser. If you're a student or teacher and don't see an option to install Office, you may be eligible for Office 365 Education, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. If you're still unable to install Office following the steps in Download and install or reinstall Office try using the offline installer. Use the uninstall troubleshooter to uninstall Microsoft 365, Office 2021, Office 2019, or Office 2016 from your Windows PC.
